About Me

Hi! I’m Brie. Newtown mama of 2, kindergarten teacher of 10+ years, and the owner of Calla Creations LLC & Busy Buddies Playgroup.

This past year, while on maternity leave with my second child, I took a crazy leap of faith and started this business. I’ve been so grateful for the support received, and I truly hope to bring something of value to our community. Early childhood education is my passion, and it’s been most meaningful to be able to design experiences that involve and benefit my own 2 little ones.

My family is the reason for it all, and none of it would be possible without them.

I’m so grateful for the growth of Busy Buddies over the past year, and I’m excited to see where we can get next. Thank you for being on this journey with me!

About Our Programs

Grow creative confidence

At Busy Buddies Sensory & Art Playgroup, we embrace the process art approach, also known as “art play.” Art play prioritizes the experience of creating over the final product. By encouraging open-ended explorations with various materials and techniques, we help children develop their creative confidence.
Foster age-level learning and developmental growth

Sensory play is a powerful tool for early childhood development, offering a range of benefits. Engaging in sensory activities stimulates a child's senses, promoting cognitive growth and enhancing motor skills. Through this exploration, children develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and can learn to regulate emotions as well.
Encourage Socialization

Joining our playgroup offers a range of social benefits. Children will have the opportunity to interact with their peers, fostering essential social skills such as sharing, cooperation, and communication in a safe and supportive environment. For parents and caregivers, our playgroup serves as a supportive community where you can connect with others.
